Thriprayar Temple, located south of Thrissur is one of the significant temples dedicated to Lord Rama. The impressive wood carvings, sculptures and Mural Paintings are an interesting sight to see here. The 11 day temple festival is held in November / December and includes a parade of 17 elephants. During the Onam fair in the months of August / September, there is a snake boat race. There are usual buses to Thriprayar from the Shakthan Thamburan bus stand.
