Built in 1795, this mosque is one of the most attractive ones in South. It lies on the Walajah road and is built of grey granite rather than wood of steel.

Referred to as the Big mosque (for obvious reasons) it was built by the Wallajah family in 1795 in memory of the Nawab. The Prince of Arcot is closely associated with this shrine even today.
